WARDOGS Season 2 went live on 15 October 2026, and it is the biggest update since early access began. It brings four new guns, four new vehicles, a rain weather preset, new buildables, a big rebalance and the game’s first full progression reset. This page is the quick tour. Each section links to a more detailed 84th guide where we have one.
The progression reset
Season 2 started with a wipe. Your cash, Wardog level, every role XP track and anything you unlocked with cash have all reset, so everyone is back on a level footing.
What you keep:
- Gold Bars and any cosmetics bought with them.
- Your Early Access XP history, which BULKHEAD has banked for future systems such as Player Skills. Those skills are not in Season 2 yet.
The good news is that levelling is much quicker this time. Reaching level 20 in a role now takes 111,500 XP, down from 250,000, so you will get your key unlocks back far sooner than you did in Season 1. Our Season 2 progression guide has the full XP table and the unlock changes.
Four new guns
| Weapon | Type | Calibre | Vendor price | Unlock |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| TCX-SPR | Assault rifle | 7.62x39mm | $3,200 | Assault level 20 ($100,000) |
| PP-19 Bizon | SMG | 9x19mm | $1,000 | Medic, unlocked by default |
| Evo-3 Ultra | LMG | .308 Win | $7,250 | Support level 30 ($200,000) |
| M14 | Marksman rifle | .308 Win | $7,400 | Recon level 25 ($100,000) |
The Bizon is the one most people will try first, because it is free on the Medic track and its magazine holds 53 rounds. The Season 2 weapons guide covers each gun, its magazines and attachments, and where it fits.
All four are already in our loadout builder.
Four new vehicles
All four sit on the Driver track:
- Wolf-110: a fast, light wheeled transport. $2,200, Driver level 8.
- Wolf-110 [M2 Browning]: the same vehicle with a ring-mounted heavy machine gun. $7,800, Driver level 16.
- T-72B3: a main battle tank that is slower than the L2A6 but cheaper and slightly more fuel-efficient. $16,000, Driver level 20.
- Flakpanzer Gepard: a dedicated anti-air vehicle. $14,000, Driver level 25.
The SPH-2 artillery has also moved to the Driver track at level 31, and artillery now earns Driver XP. See the Season 2 vehicles guide for how to use and counter each one.
Rain
There is now a rain weather preset. It soaks characters, vehicles and surfaces, changes how everything sounds depending on whether you are outdoors, indoors or in a vehicle, and falls through roofs that have been destroyed. More importantly for fights, it reduces spotting range and weakens Molotov fire. In heavy rain, thunder strikes are synchronised across the whole server and are loud enough to mask footsteps. Our rain guide explains how to play it.
Molotov Cocktail
The Molotov is a new throwable on the Assault track (level 13, $25,000 to unlock, $340 at the vendor). It splashes fire on impact, damages anyone standing in the flames, can be thrown overarm or underarm, and burns destructible foliage. Rain weakens it, so it is at its best on dry maps.
New buildables and logistics changes
Three new structures arrive: a manned MG Nest with an M2 Browning (650 supplies, large hammer), a Large Shelter (250 supplies, medium hammer) and a Wooden Step (small hammer). Several existing structures cost far more supplies now, hammers can no longer breach doors or gates (the Halligan Bar can), and supply runs pay more when you chain deliveries together. The buildables and logistics guide has the full list.
Balance changes worth knowing
- Heavier calibres hit softer. Base damage is down 25% for .308 Win, 20% for 7.62x54mmR, 19% for 7.62x39mm and 16% for .50 Cal. Sniper rifles had their hit-location damage raised to make up for it.
- Armour protects a little less. Level 3 armour and helmets now reduce damage by 50% (was 55%) and Level 4 by 60% (was 65%). Level 3 and 4 helmets now resist suppression, but the Level 4 helmet muffles your hearing, narrows your view and fogs when you sprint.
- Assault rifles and LMGs now do more even damage across the torso, and LMG body damage matches assault rifles.
- The Mosin gets its own PU 91/30 3.5x scope and can no longer take other optics.
Faction balance: the Lonestar experiment
BULKHEAD noticed the blue team, Lonestar, losing noticeably more often and calls Season 2 a “social experiment” to see if that can be changed. Lonestar players earn bonus cash and XP for wins and extra rewards for teamplay, the team spawns on Bakurani have been rebuilt, and any team at least 40 points behind second place gets 20% off at the vendor. The exact size of the Lonestar bonuses has not been published.
There are also new rules on switching sides. Once a team is more than 10 points ahead, you cannot switch teams for 15 minutes after joining one. If you switch or join mid-match, your map stays hidden and you cannot use the spawn vehicle until you reach the control zone.
The Wager Vendor (coming later)
The Wager Vendor is not in the game yet. When it opens later in Season 2, you will be able to stake your own cash on your own performance, for example kills in the control zone or delivering players safely, and choose how many deaths you are willing to risk. A tracker above the minimap will show your stake and progress. BULKHEAD describes it as experimental: it will come and go during the season and may be changed or removed if it proves easy to exploit.
What we would do first
- Pick up the PP-19 Bizon as a Medic, since it costs nothing to unlock.
- Decide which role you want back first and push it to level 20, which is much quicker now.
- Learn how rain changes your engagements before a rainy match catches you out.
If you would rather relearn the game with company, our squad nights are a good place to do it.
