WARDOGS Season 2 started with the game’s first full progression reset. Everyone is levelling up again, but BULKHEAD has made it much quicker to get back to the good stuff. This guide explains what reset, what you kept, how much XP each level now takes, and which unlocks moved.
What the wipe reset
At the start of Season 2, these were reset:
- Your cash.
- Your Wardog level.
- Every role XP track.
- Any weapons, gear and unlocks you bought with cash.
What you kept
- Gold Bars, the permanent currency you can only spend on cosmetics.
- Cosmetics you bought with Gold Bars.
- Your Early Access XP history. It is banked for future systems such as Player Skills. Those are not in Season 2, so you will not see anything from it yet.
Levelling is much quicker now
The XP needed for each role level has dropped sharply, especially through the early and middle levels where most key unlocks are:

Level 20 now takes less than half the XP it used to, and level 50 is roughly a quarter cheaper.
Unlocks that moved
Several popular items now unlock at different levels. The ones most people will notice:
Weapons
- AK74: now unlocked by default, and cheaper at $800.
- T-21: now Assault level 3, $10,000 to unlock, $1,200 at the vendor.
- M4: moved from Assault level 20 to 28, and its unlock rose from $100,000 to $150,000.
- MP5: moved from Medic level 15 to 4.
- BMR-308: moved from Recon level 30 to 20.
- PKM: moved from Support level 30 to 15.
- M249: moved from Support level 15 to 20.
- Deagle: moved from level 85 to 65.
- GGX 17 and Judge: swapped places. The Judge is now level 1 ($5,000) and the GGX 17 level 18 ($15,000).
- GGX 18: moved from level 70 to 85, with its unlock rising to $125,000.
Gear and kit
- Kobra Reflex sight: moved from level 21 to 4.
- Medical Bag: moved from level 24 to 14, and its unlock dropped from $75,000 to $50,000.
- Defibrillator: moved from level 11 to 22.
- Level 3 helmet and armour: moved from level 60 to 70.
- C4: moved from the Support track to Assault, and IED and C4 kills now give Assault XP.
New in Season 2: the TCX-SPR, M14, PP-19 Bizon and Evo-3 Ultra (see our weapons guide) and four new vehicles (see the vehicles guide).
Other ways to earn faster
- Fill empty servers. Players who join and help fill empty servers earn rewards and a vendor discount.
- Chain your deliveries. Back-to-back supply runs now pay bonus cash and XP. See the logistics guide.
- Play Lonestar. As part of a Season 2 experiment, the blue team earns bonus cash and XP for wins and extra rewards for teamplay. BULKHEAD has not published the size of the bonus.
- Watch the scoreboard. Any team at least 40 points behind second place gets 20% off at the vendor.
Spotting pays about 30% less than it did in Season 1, so do not rely on it for XP.
How to get your kit back quickly
- Pick one role to push first. Spreading your XP across every track slows everything down. Get one role to level 20, where many key items now sit.
- Use the free guns. The AK74 for Assault and the PP-19 Bizon for Medic cost nothing to unlock and are perfectly usable while you level.
- Check the new unlock levels before you plan. The MP5 at Medic 4 and the PKM at Support 15 come much sooner than before, while the M4 is now later.
- Spend your cash carefully. With everyone starting again, a cheap kit you can afford to lose is often better than one expensive gun. Price it up in our loadout builder first.
