Patch notes WARDOGS Season 3 on 12 November: what we know so far

Season 3 is reported for 12 November. See what BULKHEAD has said, what is still unconfirmed, and how to use the last weeks of Season 2.

· 5 min read · Checked against Season 02 (Update 0.2.0), checked 30 October 2026. Season 3 patch notes not yet

Season 3 of WARDOGS is expected on Thursday 12 November, a few weeks earlier than most players expected. This guide separates what has been stated from what is still a rumour, and shows how to spend the time before the wipe. For the wider picture, our earlier Season 3 overview covers the background.

Where the 12 November date comes from

The date did not arrive in a big Steam announcement. On 23 October, a Steam account tagged as a developer, using the same name as CEO Joe Brammer on X, replied to a player review saying Season 3 had been brought forward to 12 November to give everyone a proper fresh start. On 25 October PCGamesN reported the same date, saying the team was currently targeting Thursday 12 November.

It also fits the developers' own comments. On the first episode of The Hot Zone, a new developer podcast, the team said Season 2 would run four to five weeks rather than six to eight. Season 2 went live on 15 October, so four weeks lands on 12 November.

Is it official yet?

Treat it as a firm target rather than a locked date. As of 30 October, the latest post on the official Steam news page is the 15 October Season 2 launch, and there is no Season 3 post or patch notes. BULKHEAD has said a new vlog, "Season 2 Reflection & Season 3 Preview", is coming. We had not found it when this guide was checked. When it appears, it is the most likely place for an official date, wipe details and maintenance times.

Why Season 3 is arriving early

BULKHEAD has been open about this. In an October 17 post on X, the team wrote that "it was the wrong call" and that "the wipe never really landed." Progression had been sped up for Season 2, and within days some players were in Tier 4 armour and main battle tanks. The studio ruled out a sudden mid-season reset and said it would look at bringing Season 3 forward instead.

What is reported for Season 3

An economy reset and a different progression curve

PCGamesN reported that Season 3 will come with a fresh economy reset. BULKHEAD has not published a Season 3 XP curve or unlock order. PCGamesN's report on the podcast quotes Joe Brammer moving away from Season 1's "heavy vertical progression", where the best equipment sat at the end of the tree. In practice, the unlocks you are working towards now may not sit in the same place next season.

Limited Mode servers

This is the feature most players are asking about. According to PCGamesN, the limited or "primitive" servers are to arrive with Season 3 and recreate the early-to-mid game without power weapons and heavy vehicles. The podcast also said infrared gear will not be available there.

Some details are still open:

  • Specific restricted items, level caps and server rules have not been published.
  • It is unclear whether Limited Mode will be ready on 12 November or arrive later in the season.
  • The final name and server list are not announced.

Our guide to the Limited Time Mode and its no Tier 4 armour or tanks rule explains how that style of play works.

Longer seasons

Brammer said monthly seasons are not sustainable. The plan is for refreshes roughly every three months, with a smaller update at the halfway point. No exact length for Season 3 has been published.

Other mentions

A new map with a multi-storey hospital and more verticality was mentioned, without a name or date. Do not plan around it until BULKHEAD gives details.

What resets at the wipe

BULKHEAD has not posted Season 3 wipe notes, so the safest assumption is that it follows the existing pattern. One community tracker describes this as your cash and level progression resetting, leftover cash converting into Gold Bars, and the Gold Bars and any cosmetics bought with them being kept. Check the official notes when they appear, as this is not yet confirmed for Season 3.

How to spend the last weeks of Season 2

Since the cash is expected to reset, there is little reason to hoard it. A few sensible uses of the time:

  1. Try a role you have not touched. Unlocks in Season 2 are level-gated and the progress is about to reset anyway. A Recon or Medic session now costs you nothing and shows you which kit suits you. The Assault Rifle vs SMG vs LMG guide and the Snipers vs Marksman Rifles guide help you choose.
  2. Practise fundamentals. Aim, recoil control, positioning and callouts carry across seasons, and gear does not.
  3. Learn the support jobs. Building, supplying and repairing are worth knowing before a fresh start, when everyone is short of kit. Start with the FOB guide.
  4. Try the loadout builder. Plan a few builds at /loadout so you know what to aim for early in the season. Remember that the unlock order may change.
  5. Squad up. The first week of a wipe is a good time to play in a group, with shared supplies and a mix of roles. Our regular squad nights are a relaxed way to do it.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Treating Limited Mode as a launch-day certainty. The date for the mode itself is not confirmed.
  • Assuming this season's unlock order will repeat. Brammer's comments point to a different curve.
  • Spending real money in a hurry. Cosmetics bought with Gold Bars are reported to carry over, but wait for official wipe notes before relying on that.
  • Trusting unofficial sites for maintenance times. Season 2's window was 08:00 to 09:30 UTC, but the Season 3 maintenance window has not been published. UK clocks will be on GMT by then, so UTC and UK time will match. Wait for the official post.

What to watch for next

Look out for the Season 3 preview vlog, a Steam announcement with patch notes, and a confirmed maintenance time. We will update our guides when BULKHEAD publishes them.

This guide was checked against Season 02 (Update 0.2.0), with Season 3 details taken from developer comments and press reports rather than patch notes.
